MULTI-CRITERIA ASSESSMENT MODEL TO IDENTIFY SUITABLE AREAS FOR TREATED WASTEWATER REUSE IN AGRICULTURE

A model of land suitability analysis for irrigation with treated domestic wastewater is presented. The integrates tools Multi-Criteria Evaluation Geographical Information Systems. Several criteria were selected to adapt the conditions and characteristics case study. adaptation process included field visits, a bibliographical review, personal interviews local actors experts. Six constraints 10 factors 3158 hectares suitable activity identified. areas classified into three categories aptitude, representing high fitness sites close current treatment plant. developed tool allowed us integrate different assess site reuse, advantage that can be adapted other regions and/or objectives.
